At the end of 2020, Jonathan Forgash [Servana] helped me create a fundraiser using my name to raise money for Manhattan Chinatown businesses hit hard by COVID. The idea had never occurred to me, and though I was skeptical at first, I’m glad I took his advice. I worked with Welcome to Chinatown and was able to raise over $40,000 which went to legacy restaurants.

Jonathan Forgash
Founder, Servana Consulting
Jonathan Forgash is a visionary leader with a passion for food, community, and problem-solving. Over the past three decades, he has built a diverse career, blending culinary expertise with a commitment to service. Servana is a culmination of that learning and relationship building. Through these relationships, Servana efficiently connects philanthropic organizations and corporate donors to the communities that need it most.
As a professional chef and business owner, Jonathan ran a catering company for NYC's film and television industry, honing skills in culinary arts, hospitality, teamwork, and project management. His true motivation, however, was his belief in the power of food and people to connect and heal.
In 2018, he shifted to teaching and cooking for cancer patients and caregivers, developing the Food with Emotional Content concept, which emphasized the importance of joyful, family-centered meals in recovery. He also developed Dining for Justice, an event series that united chefs and donors to raise funds for organizations that were reconnecting mothers separated from their children at the US southern border.
In 2020, Jonathan founded Queens Together in response to the COVID-19 crisis, uniting local restaurants, community organizations, donors, and government programs to provide food relief across Queens. These efforts also supported struggling restaurants with funding and promotions during the pandemic. His leadership in bringing together these stakeholders made Queens Together a vital lifeline during an unprecedented time.
